Bump to Baby Program
Comprehensive care for pregnancy and postpartum in Washington, DC
What does this program include?
This comprehensive program includes 8 in-person, personalized visits with one additional postpartum virtual check in at 2 weeks postpartum. This package is designed to empower, educate, and support you through the journey of parenthood.
During pregnancy
We will perform a thorough evaluation at your first visit during pregnancy to assess your pelvic floor, your strength and mobility, and to fully understand your goals for pregnancy and birth. From there, we will design an individualized plan to support your movement goals during pregnancy and help you prepare for birth with confidence.
Postpartum
At the two week postpartum checkpoint, we will schedule a virtual appointment to check in and see how you are doing, listen to your birth story, and provide guidance for early movement as your body is recovering.
Once you are cleared by your OBGYN, your initial visit postpartum will be at the 6 week mark. We will perform a thorough pelvic floor assessment, screen for birth related injuries and prolapse, and perform a movement assessment including strength and mobility. Based on our findings and your specific goals, we will design an individualized plan to help you reconnect with your core and pelvic floor, and provide guidance to help you return to activities you love safely and confidently.

Why Bump to Baby?
Support during pregnancy
Symptoms like pain, leakage, and pressure are common during pregnancy, but they are not necessarily normal! Pregnancy does not mean that you have to live in pain or discomfort. At Kaya, you will learn how your body changes throughout pregnancy, and how to manage these changes and alleviate pain, discomfort, or leakage. Our goal is to help you feel empowered to continue activities you love during pregnancy and go into birth feeling in control of your body.
Understand your body
Through the Bump to Baby program, you will learn to find your pelvic floor muscles, how to coordinate them with your breath to support movement, and how to push effectively for labor. We will perform a pelvic floor assessment, a strength and functional movement assessment, a breathing assessment, and a posture assessment to learn how your body moves and what it needs. Our sessions are highly individualized so you will learn strategies to support your unique needs.
Prep for birth with your birth partner
You and your birth partner should feel confident and equipped with strategies to support an effective and safe birth. At your final pregnancy visit, you will learn practical ways your partner can support you during birth including nervous system regulation positional support, so you can go into birth feeling like a team.
Return to activities you love
A 6-week clearance from your OBGYN is a starting point, not a finish line! Get personalized support to guide your recovery. Whether you want to return to running, weight lifting, or need guidance with everyday movements like squatting, lifting, and carrying, we’ll create a customized plan for your unique needs and goals.
